How Our Network Works
Who Will I Be Talking To?
You will talk with an independent HVAC provider from the network, not with someone from Havingstands Heating & Air who does repairs. Havingstands Heating & Air makes the introduction and steps back. The provider is a local business that handles the actual heating and cooling work.
What Happens on the Call?
Expect a friendly, practical chat. The provider will likely ask:
- What is the system doing, or not doing?
- How old is the equipment?
- What type of home is it, and how old is the house?
- Has anything been repaired or changed before?
That last question matters in older homes. Past repairs and aging materials can change how a provider approaches the job. Do not worry if you do not know every answer. Share what you see and hear.
What Should I Ask a Provider?
Good questions make a big difference. Try these:
- Are you licensed and insured in my area?
- Can you give me a written quote before any work starts?
- What might make the price change?
- How soon can someone take a look?
- Do you have experience with older houses like mine?
- What does the work include, and what does it leave out?
Typical costs vary a lot by job, home and equipment, so a written quote is your strongest tool. Treat any number you hear on a first call as a rough range until it is on paper.
Am I Locked In?
No. You are in control the whole way. Talking to a provider does not obligate you to hire them. You can ask questions, compare, and take your time, unless a safety problem such as a gas smell calls for you to leave the home and contact the proper emergency services first.
Ready to Talk to a Provider?
If your heating or cooling is acting up, a quick conversation is a good first step. Request a callback to check provider availability in your area.
Or share the details in writing and request an estimate.
